MERCH
MEET BLAIR
GROWING UP IN A SMALL TOWN IN TASMANIA, I'VE SEEN FIRSTHAND THE IMPACT OF MENTAL HEALTH STRUGGLES IN COMMUNITIES.
INSPIRED BY MY OWN EXPERIENCES, I FOUNDED 'THROUGH STRANGERS EYES,' A MOVEMENT DEDICATED TO BREAKING DOWN STIGMA AND FOSTERING SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITIES.
THE 'HUMAN CONNECTION TOUR' IS AN EXTENSION OF THIS MISSION, CONNECTING PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND PROMOTING EMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING. THROUGH A SERIES OF EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS, WE AIM TO CREATE SAFE SPACES FOR INDIVIDUALS TO SHARE THEIR STORIES, LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER, AND DEVELOP THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES AND OTHERS. BY FOSTERING A CULTURE OF COMPASSION AND ACCEPTANCE, WE BELIEVE WE CAN CREATE A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE FEELS VALUED AND SUPPORTED.

As a 24 year old male mental health is a scary thing, especially when you look at the astonishing statistics behind men’s mental health - men aged 25 years and younger being the most affected, and suicide being the leading cause of death in Australia. To know that so many men and woman struggle so much to speak about the things that weigh them down, that suicide is a leading cause of death for Australian’s, brings tears to my eyes.
Along with my own unanswered questions to do with things like death, grief, depression and mental health in general, I set out to hear the stories of complete strangers and take in their advice and experiences.
This was where Through Strangers Eyes was born.
